Sue aims to assist her clients to reach a solution that works for them, be this through the court process or through an alternative negotiation process. Sue acts for a varied range of individuals and is prepared to adapt her service to meet their particular needs.

Sue often provides a service to the professional client with a focus on more complicated financial matters including pensions, private companies and investment assets. She also deals with sensitive private law children issues and has been involved in leading cases concerning the removal children from the jurisdiction. Sue has experience in cases where the financial issues or arrangements for the children have an international element. She is an experienced negotiator and advocate, and frequently performs her own advocacy at court.

Sue is a trained mediator who is able to offer mediation either as a sole mediator or jointly with one of her colleagues.

Having trained as a Collaborative Lawyer in 2004, Sue has extensive experience of the collaborative law approach providing clients with a real alternative to the traditional litigious resolution of disputes. She is actively involved in the Cambridge Collaborative Family Law Group and is the National Liaison Officer for the Group. She is also involved in training family lawyers and has developed the Resolution training for financial experts such as accountants and actuaries working within the collaborative process.

Sue has been closely involved with pioneering the national 'Parenting after Parting' initiative which aims to put the interests of children first and to assist parents to reduce the harm that can be caused to children when their parents separate.
