Grandparents and grandchildren can have a very special relationship, one treasured by all. In addition to the fun grandparents can provide, they are often a valuable source of (usually unpaid) childcare. Few would dispute that the relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren is a special one. Not only are grandparents normally an integral part of children’s lives, but they are increasingly being relied upon to provide (usually unpaid) childcare in families where both parents have to work to make ends meet.
